GCReader

Let me rewind the clocks about 10 years ago. In middle school, the e-Reader from Nintendo was just released, and it looked so cool! Yu-Gi-OH! was a big hit with grade and middle school kids... and the Gamecube just got Super Smash Bros. Melee. Being a kid who likes comics and wrote up one unimaginative story after the next, I came up with GCReader (stands for Game Character Reader), a rip-off of Pokemon, Yu-Gi-OH!, Nintendo and its new e-Reader. Unlike my other comics I made growing up, it still has a big significance. How? Simple, after I made it, I kept pestering some kid who had a brand new shiny Gameboy Advance in my class day-after-day-after-day-after-day-after-day-after-day (goes on for quite a while), until finally he read it, liked it, got kinda hooked on it (especially after I made him a core character in the second strip), etc. That kid in my class was , and me an' Joey have been best friends ever since (plus, GCReader was Lee's first appearance, as well).

(NOTE: This is not the original plot, this is a reworked plot, I may expand on the originally unimaginative plot eventually)
The main character is Ty, a young teen who got a brand new GCReader (a card device from Nintendo that generates physical apparitions of licensed characters) and a single Kirby card, going on to from a deck and become a GCDuelist. Along the way he meets the likes of Aaron (top left), a master GCDuelist who has won several cups, a young boy named Joey (top right), who, in spite of his young age, is a brilliant GCduelist. However, the creator of GCReader, Kazamo Michinoku, grows increasingly unnerved by the surging popularity of GCReader and the fanatical gambling and corruption of GCDuelists and spectators. As more and more powerful cards are produced, and more and more use GC cards for ill-intentions, he fears GCReader will ultimately become much more than just a simple game.
